Presidents Welcome

My name is Steve W. Miller, a Life member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., serving as President of the Epsilon Sigma chapter since January 2024. It is a full circle moment to go from being born at Harlem Hospital to Chapter President of “ The Harlem Sigmas”. Epsilon Sigma chapter was recognized at the 2026 Eastern Regional Conference as Alumni chapter of the year on the Diamond level. We take great pride in being active in the community. Service is the foundation of our chapter, but we also promote Brotherhood and Scholarship. We have a Sigma Beta club where we mentor young men from 8 to 18. We were named SBC club of the year for the Eastern Region at the 2026 Eastern Regional Conference. Epsilon Sigma was also recognized for our collaboration with our Constitutionally Bound Sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. We are proud to elevate the Bond . We have a partnership with the public library named after our late frat brother, Harry Belafonte. We offer College scholarships to Male High school seniors from the Harlem community. We participate in the Fraternity’s adopt a school program, where we support the administration with their Harlem students. We support local businesses through the Fraternity’s Black Spend initiative.
Chartered May 1st, 1920, Epsilon Sigma is the oldest chapter in NY State. Our home is the Epsilon Sigma House in Harlem NY. Our chapter has a rich history, which is highlighted by having 12 brothers inducted into Phi Beta Sigma’s Distinguished Service Chapter and the current home to Honorable Brother Greville French #169. Notable previous chapter members are James Weldon Johnson, James “Billboard” Jackson, C. Melvin Patrick to name a few. Following in the tradition of our Founders Hon. Brother A. Langston Taylor, Hon. Brother Leonard F. Morse and Hon. Brother Charles I. Brown, From Howard University to Harlem, USA. Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.
